please sign the new petition

The petition to make Ofsted accountable has closed, with only a hundred signatures, but you can still play the game on-line and get others to do the same. The BBC campaign site has closed down - the BBC has closed down its community protest area!

So now I need to explore a different way to campaign on the web.

I have created a new petition. This one is positive, seeking the DCSF to use Summerhill and St Georges-in-the East schools as models of good practice to learn from and develop new ways of organising democracy, justice and students voice in our state schools...

I have been busy visiting Uganda to research co-ops and credit unions, and to go to a fantastic wedding, and working with East London schools on local democracy, creating constitutions for their school councils and making policies for action... along with exploring how co-ops can assist them in improving their communities in parallel with co-ops around the world.

I will start resuming my blog soon, with further old stories of my life at Summerhill
